Everything on this page is read off NeuroDivine’s own page when it is built, so the two cannot disagree; the suite fails if they do. The only words written for the kit are the ones that explain, and the ones marked Proposed.

01 · The mark

One sun, seven rays.

Love Sunday’s sun, unchanged, wearing a halo of seven rays: four for what you’ll notice in a place, three for what the place does for you.

Read off the page’s nd-mark · the sun from Love Sunday’s mark.svg

  • On paper
  • On the mat
  • On blush
  • On a red fill
  • Over a photograph

Colour rules

  • The sun is Love Sunday’s own mark, exactly as the site draws it. It is never redrawn, recoloured into plum or given a new face.
  • 4 rays in plum (--ink-soft #7D4B53) for what you’ll notice: Light, Sound, Crowd, Scent. 3 in red (--red #FE1717) for what the place does for you: Clarity, Refuge, Welcome.
  • On a red fill or over a photograph, the sun and every ray go to mat. The two kinds of ray are never swapped or mixed.

The rays, clockwise from the top

  1. Light
  2. Sound
  3. Crowd
  4. Scent
  5. Clarity
  6. Refuge
  7. Welcome

Each ray is one seventh of the circle, 51.43°. The order is the vibe check’s order, so the mark and every halo read the same way round.

Size and space

  • The sun keeps Love Sunday’s floor of 20px, so the whole mark is never smaller than 3rem (48px): at that size its sun is 22px.
  • Give it one ray’s length of clear space on every side.

02 · The wordmark

Neuro, then Divine.

The name in two halves: a steady roman, then an italic that leans in. It borrows Love Sunday’s type and never its name.

How the name is set

  • Neuro in Fraunces at 500, roman. Divine in Fraunces italic at 400, in --red. One word, two halves, no space.
  • Capital N, capital D, everything else lower case. The name is never set in capitals in a sentence or a headline. The one exception is the Selkie’s arc, which is a stamp.
  • from Love Sunday sits under it in DM Mono, tracked, when the page needs to say who made it.
  • On a red fill the whole lockup goes to mat, Divine included.

03 · The halo

Instead of stars, a halo.

The vibe check is the brand. Seven rays, five steps each, drawn the same way everywhere: on the page, on a card, on a door.

Words, scales and geometry read off the page’s demo

The halo's partsLightSoundCrowdScentClarityRefugeWelcome
A teaching shape · no real place

How a halo is drawn

  • The sun at the centre, with five dotted rings around it: one ring for each step of a vibe.
  • Each ray starts at 52 units from the centre and grows 16 units a step, so a step of 1 reaches 68 and a step of 5 reaches 132. It tapers to a rounded tip.
  • Plum rays (top and right) say what’s there. Neither end is better; it depends who’s walking in.
  • Red rays (left) are what the place does for you. There, longer is simply better.
  • When the Selkie’s rule is met, the dotted ring around the sun closes into a solid red-ink line.

Geometry read off the page’s own demo: R0 = 52, STEP = 16, the ray path M-6.5 -52 L6.5 -52 L2.2 -132 Q0 -138 -2.2 -132 Z at 5.

04 · The Selkie

Somewhere to come ashore.

The seal of old stories, and NeuroDivine’s mark for a place that meets the bar. It exists only as a draft, and it has been given to nobody.

The badge, the name line and the baseline read off the page

Draft Selkie, not awarded to anyone: Certified neuro-friendly, NeuroDivine Selkie. CERTIFIED NEURO-FRIENDLY NEURODIVINE Selkie DRAFT NOT AWARDED

The name

In the old stories, a selkie is a seal who comes ashore for a while. A Selkie place is somewhere you can come ashore too, and simply be yourself.

Proposed The baseline

  • You can find out what to expect before you arrive.
  • There’s somewhere quieter to step away to, and an easy way out.
  • Staff know that headphones, stimming and leaving early are fine.

It looks only at the red rays, so a loud place can still earn it. In the demo that means Clarity, Refuge, Welcome each at 3 of 5 or more.

What it is not

  • The Selkie can’t be bought. No fee buys a vibe, a better vibe, or the Selkie.
  • Not awarded, yet. Every Selkie in this kit says Draft · not awarded, and will until a place has been read.

Files

  • selkie-draft-1600.pngPNG · transparent · 1600×1600 · 230 KBThe Selkie as it stands today: a draft, awarded to nobody.

The badge is drawn by the page itself, from the same mark, in DM Mono and Fraunces.

05 · Colour

Pink ground, two kinds of ray.

Love Sunday’s palette, token for token. NeuroDivine’s only addition is meaning: which ray is which.

The page’s :root and its day · pairs measured in love-sunday.css §2

The plum ray is --ink-soft #7D4B53: what you’ll notice.

The red ray is --red #FE1717: what the place does for you. Its label is set in --red-ink, because a label is words.

Fixed by Love Sunday

  • --red#FE1717

The sun, the red rays, the one red word in a headline, the big button. Display sizes only.

  • --paper#FEDEED

The ground. Love Sunday’s pink, verbatim, at first light.

Type

  • --ink#3B1C24

Body copy, headlines, the pass card’s ground.

  • --ink-soft#7D4B53

The plum rays, captions and secondary copy.

  • --red-ink#BD1212

Red that carries words: ray labels for the red side, links, outlined buttons, the closed Selkie ring.

Surfaces

  • --mat#FFFDFB

The mat of a print, cards, the demo’s panel.

  • --blush#FBCFE1

Chips, the draft band, empty frames.

  • --sky#FFF1F6

The top of the sky behind the page. Not a text surface.

  • --glow#FFD9C2

The glow behind the sun and every halo. Not a text surface.

Lines

  • --line#EFC6D3

    Hairlines on paper.

  • --line-strong#E1A9BC

    Dotted rings, empty halos, dividers.

Two kinds of ray, one red.

NeuroDivine adds no new colour to Love Sunday’s. It gives two existing ones a job: plum for what a place is like, red for what it does for you. Everything else follows Love Sunday’s rule that bright red is a mark, never a sentence.

The day

The page warms from first light to golden hour as it is read, the way Love Sunday’s site does. Only the ground and the light change; the text colours hold at every stop. It runs only when the reader has not asked for less motion.

One red word

Where they come from

The frames are Hk’s own photographs, from her light table, where each was checked before it went up: her photograph, not a picture of her, with no business, venue, product, logo or client in it. The portrait is hers from Love Sunday’s site.

How they are labelled

  • Hk · stand-in holds a place in the guide until she picks one. It is never a photograph of the place it stands for.
  • Mood · Hk sets the feeling of the shop. It is never a product.
  • No photograph shows a place as vibe-checked unless that place has had its vibe caught and its halo is on the page.

08 · Voice

Plain words, said kindly.

Warm, direct, and exact about what’s there. The lines below are the page’s own, read off it at build time so they stay in step.

    The end of the page

Proposed How NeuroDivine talks

  • Plain words. Say what’s there: the light, the noise, the way out.
  • Funny when it’s true. Never cute about hard things.

Proposed Words to reach for, and words to leave out

Reach for

what’s there · describes · a way out · somewhere quieter · be yourself · quiet hours · comfort

Leave out

cure · treat · fix · calms your ADHD, or any condition · suffers from · special needs · stars

Proposed by the kit, not settled: Hk’s to rewrite. The one line that is not proposed is the last one: nothing NeuroDivine says or sells promises to treat anyone.

The four rules it stands on

  • The Selkie can’t be bought. No fee buys a vibe, a better vibe, or the Selkie.
  • Vibe-checked by neurodivergent people. The people who feel the room are the ones who vibe-check it.
  • It describes. It doesn’t diagnose. A halo says what a place is like. It never says what anyone has or needs.
  • Comfort, not cures. Nothing here promises to treat, fix or improve anyone. Nobody here needs fixing.

Hk, in her words

  • “properties, experiences, and products from a neurodivergent perspective”

  • “certified neuro friendly so it can apply to any industry”

  • “is it neurodivergent friendly? And then here’s an itinerary based off of that.”

The three lines the page quotes her on, word for word. Nothing else is put in her mouth.

09 · Built to be calm

The page is the proof.

A brand that vibe-checks how places feel has to feel right itself. These are the pages’ own settings, read off them, not promises.

Read off the pages’ styles and scripts

  • Nothing plays on this page

No video, no sound, no autoplay. Anything that moves is moved by the reader.

  • A place’s video stays quiet

On a place’s page, a member’s chosen video has no sound in its file. It starts by itself only where the device allows motion and isn’t saving data, goes round twice, then rests, and Pause is always there.

  • One thing changes by itself

The light, as the page is scrolled. It stays still for anyone who has asked their device for less motion.

  • Text you can read

Body text never below 17px (clamp(1.0625rem, 1.03rem + 0.16vw, 1.125rem)), and every pair that carries words meets AA.

  • A demo that speaks once

The halo demo tells a screen reader what changed in one short sentence, only when the summary or the Selkie changes.

  • Nothing to fill in

No form, no pop-up, no sign-up. The page saves no display setting in the reader’s browser.

  • Have

    The page

NeuroDivine’s early look, at /neurodivine/. Everything in this kit is read off it.

  • Have

The mark, the halo and the Selkie

Drawn from the page, with SVG and PNG files above.

  • Waiting

    The spelling

NeuroDivine is the working spelling. Hk has the final say.

  • Waiting

The ray names, in her words

Light, Sound, Crowd, Scent, Clarity, Refuge and Welcome are working words. Hk renames them.

  • Waiting

    The first pick

The first place to be vibe-checked and given a halo. Until then every slot is empty.

  • Waiting

    Her story

As much of it as she wants to tell, and not a word more.

  • Needed

Clearance for the name and the Selkie

Before anything is printed, stuck on a door or sold.

  • Needed

    A drawn wordmark

The name is live type today. Drawn as artwork it would print and cut cleanly.

  • Needed

    Photographs of real places

Taken by Hk once places are picked, to replace the stand-ins.

  • Needed

    The list

A way to hear when the first places have their halos.

The kit follows the page. When Hk renames a ray or picks a place, the page changes and this kit changes with it on the next build.
